Back to news overview

16 September 2013:

Last week we attended FinovateFall that took place in in New York City during 10 and 11 of September. A crowd of over 1,100 attendees joined at The Manhattan Center to watch as 69 companies unveiled their latest and greatest financial technology.

Some of the highlights:

  • Corporate clients most valuable, but have worst online customer experience; Backbase introduced commercial banking solution
  • 3.0 web check-out: Zooz Experience is key in payments. Adapt interface per device to boost conversion rates in ecommerce
  • Instabank started Facebook based bank in Russia, leveraging viral potential and user familiarity with interface.
  • IgniteSales: ‘the branch it is still the bank's main channel; 80% of consumer accounts are opened in branch’
  • IgniteSales: irresponsible to not measure your main channel: branch profitability dashboard shows potential, captured & untapped per branch
  • Thinkfinance: When employees experience financial pressures it hurts the company’s performance & productivity
